Yewon Jung

Hello, my name is Yewon Jung and I'm currently a freshman at Indiana University in Bloomington. I am an Informatics major and plan to minor in Japanese. In the future, I hope to get a job that focuses on the creative aspects of design. My career in Informatics would open up many job opportunities allowing me to demonstrate the knowledge and skills I accumulate during my time at IU.

My many interests and skills lie in baking, puzzles, and being bilingual in English and Korean, which comes with being called a grandma occasionally too. Outside of studying, I've also been enjoying going to the gym to lift everyday, which has become the highlight of my day.

 

Although growing up in an immigrant family from South Korea in the U.S. came with its own hardships, it taught me the values of how important family is. My family taught me to be the strong and independent woman I am now, which is sure to be the foundation for my future.
